Volunteer Primary Care is dedicated to optimizing quality healthcare through an innovative and new-aged approach to health and wellness. We provide primary care services in a traditional office setting and via telehealth if needed. Both are convenient to your lifestyle and busy schedule.

Our goal is to meet your healthcare needs efficiently and effectively by being available when you need us. We will be the trusted name in healthcare for Sevier County and the surrounding areas. We are dedicated to our patients and our community. We love Sevier County, we love our residents, and we have a desire to make a difference each and every day. JEREMY STRADER, MSN, RN, FNP-C
I've lived most of my life in Sevier County and, I am proud to call it home. I am a graduate of Sevier County High School, a two-time graduate of Walters State Community College, and a two-time graduate of East TN State University. I am very excited about taking care of the people in my community! I am a 21 year retired veteran of the US Army Reserve. I have served on several bases in the United States and abroad. I have been stationed on JBLM, Tacoma, WA, JBSA (Ft. Sam Houson) San Antonio, TX, Ft. Cavazos, TX, and served in Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. As a nurse I worked at LeConte Medical Center for over five years in the Emergency Department. As a Nurse Practitioner I have worked in primary care here in East TN and Alaska. I also have experience in the urgent care setting and as a college level educator. I love to hunt, fish, play hockey with my son, ride horses with both my kids, and just about anything outdoors. I humbly consider myself just another regular guy from East TN. I feel blessed to take care of others in need!

ALEX VEST, MSN, RN, FNP-C

Born and raised right here locally in the Seymour area of East TN. I am passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to local families and surrounding communities.
I attended Maryville College and continued my education at LMU. I bring a strong foundation in Emergency Medicine and trauma care through my experiences at the University of Tennessee Medical Center's ER and trauma center. I have a strong desire for patient-centered primary care and look forward to a long career taking care of others.
Outside the clinic, I am a lucky husband to a wonderful wife and proud parent to our little boy. I am a lifelong baseball enthusiast, and I find joy coaching and playing baseball whenever possible. I also love camping and being outdoors with my family.
I am committed to building lasting relationships with patients and helping them achieve their health goals. Whether it's managing chronic conditions, looking for a wellness partner, or just needing someone who understands the unique needs of personalized care with patient-centered goals, I am here to help anyone who needs it.

Introducing Alexandra Barton, MSN, RN, FNP-C

Hi, everyone!

My nursing journey started with a passion to serve others and has grown into so much more than I could have ever imagined! I am a proud graduate of Union University (2020) where I obtained my BSN and of Carson-Newman University (2026) where I obtained my MSN. I have a total of 6 years of bedside nursing experience as an RN in acute cardiovascular care, with my last 3 years being at Fort Sanders Regional in Knoxville, TN. My experience as an RN has shaped the way I want to care for patients-holistically, thoughtfully, and collaboratively. I am passionate about serving patients and families, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact on others. It’s an incredible privilege to be part of your care team at Volunteer Primary Care. I’m looking forward to meeting you, listening to your stories, and partnering with you to achieve YOUR health goals!!!

When I am away from the office, I am spending time with my husband and beautiful little girl. I am actively involved in student ministry at my local church and enjoy being a part of my church community. On rainy days I enjoy hobbies such as, reading historical fiction novels, baking, binging a tv series on Hulu, and trying new coffee shops!
